Senior Java Software Application Developer for SaaS Application

We have created the best SaaS (Software As A Service) Document and Business Process Management application out there. We strive to make our users' lives as easy as possible and it is reflected by our customer retention. Our customer's needs drive our development.
Our business is creating an easy-to-use software-as-a-service application that automates and/or improves our customers business processes with our online electronic document management software application. We are looking for a motivated, resourceful and results-oriented individuals interested in making a significant contribution to our core development team.
In addition to writing great code, our developers must also use good documentation practices, develop prototypes, participate in business process analysis, design workflows while supporting existing applications.
This position relies on integration skills and requires a true commitment to deadlines; we are looking for individuals who would like to be part of a team that is driven to create an application that our customers love to use.
Strong problem solving, analysis and estimating skills are needed. Experience with gathering and documenting requirements and business processes, testing, technical writing/documentation skills.
Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel, including management and end users, providing guidance, support and detailed documentation.
Must be a willing participant with excellent communication skills and positive attitude. Must be able to take direction and accept leadership as well as provide leadership to junior staff members. Must be resourceful and willing to continuously learn new software and concepts and be familiar with the open source community. May have direct client contact, so must maintain professional appearance.
Applicant must be comfortable working in a fast paced, challenging small company environment. Needs to be self-motivated and able to hit the ground running.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with an object oriented or functional programming language (Java would be nice)
Ability to create working software from scratch
Great analytical ability
A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to learn quickly and react to changes
Experience working with relational databases
Understanding of web programming and networks (HTTP, TCP, AJAX, etc.)
Experience writing secure software
Knowledge of Struts or Spring and Hibernate a plus
UML and MVC knowledge a plus
Experience with service oriented architectures and/or grid architectures
Experience with the Java platform and related libraries
Working with varied image formats
Project management experience using MS Project is a plus.

Job location is at the USF Research and Technology Park, Tampa, FL. Relocation expenses not paid.
Compensation based upon salary plus performance bonuses. Salary range depends on experience. Retirement, Health and Vacation.
